The Potter's Christian Life Center began with Pastor Jim and Jan Petty as a pioneer work, receiving its charter on February 28, 1989. Pastor Jim led the congregation until August 2, 1993 when Greg Formey became pastor, sent out to minister by Overcoming By Faith Ministries of Savannah, Georgia. At that time there were 23 members here in Columbia, including Pastor Greg and his family. 

We have grown to nearly 300 members to date. On May 31, 2007, we acquired our third church facility, located at 2700 Haymarket Road in Columbia. This is a 4-acre property with a pre-existing sanctuary, an administrative wing, and a separate multi-purpose building. Our congregation rejoices with all who cherish Jesus Christ as God the Son, Messiah, Savior, and Lord of the Church.
